Special treatment of the air intake of the air compressor can enhance the efficiency of the air compressor

Due to the large-scale construction of national infrastructure, the mileage of highways and high-grade highways has increased rapidly year by year, coupled with the rapid and efficient transportation of automobiles. In recent years, the market for trucks has been very hot, and the demand for high-power engines has increased. In order to increase the power of the engine, domestic engine manufacturers mostly use the form of engine turbocharging. Because the pressure in the intake chamber of the air compressor is much smaller than the pressure in the exhaust chamber, the gas enters the cylinder from the intake chamber and then returns to the intake chamber. The air compressor (hereinafter referred to as the air compressor) is an important peripheral part of the engine. It is the air source for braking of medium and heavy-duty vehicles and is the component that produces compressed gas. The air compressor required for heavy-duty vehicle braking has a large displacement.

There are two ways to increase the air compressor exhaust volume: 1 increase the air compressor's own stroke volume; 2 make the air compressor intake air change from natural air intake to boost air intake. At present, domestically produced engines do not have special requirements for the intake of air compressors, whether they are supercharged or non-supercharged. Almost all of them are naturally aspirated, that is, they are taken from the large air filter of the car. A few years ago, the Cummins C-series engine introduced by a company had its air compressor intake air as the booster intake air, that is, the air intake from the engine cylinder head intake chamber. The air compressor supercharged air intake has the advantage of high charging efficiency and is the development direction of domestic air compressors. Since the air compressor booster air intake is still a new thing in China, this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the booster air intake and proposes measures to overcome its shortcomings. Before the pressure reaches the set value, the unloading valve is only equivalent to a one-way valve, so that the compressed gas generated by the air compressor can only flow from the exhaust port of the air compressor to the gas storage tank, and cannot be reversed.
