National Major Instruments Specialized High Performance Intelligent Aseptic Detector Project Launched

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Metrology Institute participated in the development of a major national scientific instrument and equipment special “High-performance intelligent aseptic detector development and application” started in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Leaders from government departments such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Hangzhou Science and Technology Commission, and the Binjiang National Hi-tech Zone participated in the kick-off meeting.

The provincial metrology institute took the lead in undertaking two sub-topics of the project: "Real-time detection of high- and low-concentration hydrogen peroxide in the gas phase based on laser spectroscopy" and "Smart microbial incubator and automatic aseptic observation technology." The research of concentration detection project is helpful to solve the problems such as the response lag, short life, and easy poisoning failure of the imported electrochemical sensor, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the measurement results. The intelligent incubator and the aseptic observation project can realize the integration of incubator transmission, cultivation, and automatic aseptic observation, which is of great significance for promoting intelligent training.

The National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Project is a major science and technology project in the national key R&D plan after the national science and technology system reform. This special project is to “effectively upgrade the independent innovation capability and equipment level of China’s scientific equipment and promote the industrial upgrading and development. "Innovation drives the implementation of development strategies," and is set up to focus on research and development of scientific instruments with independent intellectual property rights and to break foreign monopolies.

In recent years, the provincial metrology institute has continuously intensified its efforts in science and technology, boldly innovated in scientific and technological personnel, scientific and technological equipment, scientific and technological carriers, and scientific and technological systems, and has undertaken a series of major scientific and technological projects in the instrumentation field. Up till now, a total of 5 major scientific instrument special projects have been undertaken for the main project, and the research and development funds have exceeded 10 million yuan.
