Chicago Still & Box Alarm fire & EMS Plan I – 11/5/16

<

This message comes to us from Jeff Rudolph: --- I just got some photos from Saturday morning’s fire at a house on 2629 Homer Street. It was around 11/5/16, and the firefighters were dealing with a pretty intense situation. I can’t imagine how scary it must have been for everyone involved. Here’s one shot that really caught my eye. You can see heavy smoke billowing out of the attic—there’s definitely a lot going on in this picture. [Attached Image: Flames bursting from the attic of a house.] The next image shows even more chaos. The flames are massive, and you can tell the firefighters were working hard to get things under control. There’s so much smoke that it’s hard to make out exactly what’s happening in the background, but the focus is clearly on tackling the fire. [Attached Image: Heavy smoke and flames raging at a house fire.] In another photo, there’s still a ton of smoke, and the flames look relentless. This must have been quite the challenge for the first responders. [Attached Image: More heavy smoke and flames at the same house fire.] One thing that stood out to me was how dramatic the angles were in these photos. The next image has a different perspective, showing a Chicago Fire Department Squad 2A vehicle on the scene. Even though the fire trucks are present, the intensity of the blaze is still palpable. [Attached Image: Chicago FD Squad 2A at the house fire.] Finally, here’s one last shot that really highlights the scale of the damage. The flames are enormous, and you can see the firefighters’ efforts to contain the fire from various positions. [Attached Image: Flames consuming part of the house.] These images really capture the raw power of fire and the dedication of those who fight it. Thanks to Jeff Rudolph for sharing these photos—they give a glimpse into what must have been an incredibly difficult moment for everyone involved. --- I hope everyone involved is okay, and kudos to the firefighters for their bravery!
