From CFDMedia on Twitter: The fire alarm at 4340 N Richmond Street has been reported. All Chicago Fire Department (CFD) units are actively involved in firefighting efforts. There have been no reported injuries or patient transports so far. Initial reports indicate a 3-11 alarm situation with four master streams deployed. Three points of vantage and three handlines are currently in use as firefighters work to control the blaze. One individual was transported earlier for smoke inhalation but there have been no further injuries or transports. As of the latest update, the situation remains active with four elevated master streams, three monitors, and three handlines still in operation. Firefighters are focusing their efforts on locating and extinguishing remaining hotspots. The initial transport involved approximately 60 minutes of smoke exposure and was taken to Swedish Hospital. No new injuries or transports have been reported since then. At 08:30, the 3-11 alarm at 4340 N Richmond was officially marked as "out" following the instructions from Command 215. The city’s Building Department has been called in at the request of the CFD. Although some units are beginning to wrap up operations, the CFD continues to stay on scene to ensure all remaining hotspots are fully extinguished.
