Working fire in Buffalo Grove, 12-30-14

<

This is from Larry Shapiro:

On the late evening of December 30th, the Buffalo Grove Fire Department received a call about a small fire that had been put out outside a townhouse at 211 Winding Oak Lane. Engine 26 was dispatched to check the scene and confirm that the fire was under control. However, upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had spread beneath the rear sliding door and into the crawlspace of the unit.

The incident was quickly escalated from an investigation to a full working fire response. Additional crews from Arlington Heights, Long Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Palatine, and Wauconda were called in to assist. Firefighters worked tirelessly to remove the flooring and access the crawlspace, ensuring the fire was fully contained within the affected unit and not spreading to neighboring properties.

Throughout the night, crews remained on site, monitoring the situation and making sure the fire was completely extinguished. The efforts of multiple departments highlight the importance of quick response and cooperation during emergencies.
