The experts of the “New Sanhua†Leading Group recognized that this was a historic breakthrough for domestic underwater valves. It is reported that Shanghai Pudong Hanwei Valve Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Valve Science and Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., has already joined experts from various universities such as Zhejiang University to open research and development of domestic underwater valves. In February of this year, Shanghai Hanwei was invited by the CNOOC Wenchang project team to participate in the underwater valve development project. As of August 15, Shanghai Hanwei completed all the work for the localization of underwater ball valves for the Wenchang 9-2/9-3/10-3 gas field development project, and it was successfully obtained by the American API Association before the completion of the mission. The API6DSS certificate issued, which is the second company in China to obtain this certification. At the beginning of September, at the Feasibility Review of the Application of Domestic Underwater Valves in the Wenchang Engineering Project, the participating experts reviewed the design, materials, manufacturing, testing, third-party BV certification data and ball valve trial completion documentation of the underwater ball valve, and checked all the completions. After the underwater ball valve was dismantled after testing, it was agreed that the Shanghai Hanwei underwater ball valve product prototype meets the requirements of the Wenchang project and may be included in the bid list.
