The Ukrainian electric bike manufacturer Delfast has just released an updated version of its popular Top 2.0 model, named the Top 3.0. It's now available for purchase online.

What sets this new model apart from its predecessor? For starters, the Top 3.0 features a new carbon belt drive system. As explained by Delfast's Chief Engineer, Serhii Goncharov, chains have always been a weak point in electric bike design. Traditional chains typically last no more than a few thousand kilometers and demand frequent servicing and maintenance. The team has now introduced a single-speed belt system that eliminates many of these complications. With this belt drive, riders can expect a longer lifespan without needing regular maintenance or lubrication. Additionally, the belt drive is lighter compared to conventional chains, aligning with modern bicycle design trends.

This improvement means that the Top 3.0 doesn’t need a service check every 100 kilometers, particularly when riding off-road or in wet conditions. Furthermore, the belt drive operates more quietly. The rear pendulum has also been redesigned to allow for easier belt tension adjustments.

In addition to the drive upgrade, the new Top 3.0 comes equipped with a headlight offering both low and high beam modes, significantly enhancing safety for nighttime riders, especially at higher speeds. The high beam provides a bright, long-distance illumination in a focused beam, ensuring visibility in cloudy or rainy conditions and throughout all seasons.

The pricing for the Top 3.0 electric bike stands at $6,649 for delivery to the United States, €6,249 for the European Union, and $6,799 for the rest of the world. Early bird orders placed in early June come with a discount of approximately $1,000 (USD/EUR).

Another exciting update is Delfast’s introduction of global credit financing options through PayPal. This opens up opportunities for customers worldwide to buy Delfast bikes on credit via PayPal. While Klarna remains exclusive to American buyers, Affirm financing will soon be available globally. Altogether, Delfast now offers three credit options for customers to choose from.

With these advancements, Delfast continues to push boundaries in electric bike innovation, catering to a growing market of eco-conscious and tech-savvy consumers.
