Based out of Ukraine, Delfast, a renowned electric bike manufacturer, has just launched an enhanced version of their popular Top 2.0 model—dubbed the Top 3.0—which is now available for purchase online.

So, what makes the new model stand out from its predecessor? One of the key upgrades is the introduction of a brand-new carbon belt drive system. As Delfast's Chief Engineer, Serhii Goncharov, explains, the traditional chain has long been a weak link in the overall e-bike design. Chains typically last no more than a few thousand kilometers and require constant maintenance and servicing. With the new belt drive, riders can enjoy a longer lifespan without the hassle of frequent upkeep. Furthermore, the belt drive is lighter than conventional chains, aligning with the latest trends in modern bicycle engineering.

Unlike its predecessor, the Top 3.0 doesn’t necessitate regular service checks every 100 kilometers, whether you're riding off-road or braving inclement weather. The belt drive also operates quietly, enhancing the overall riding experience. Additionally, the rear pendulum has been redesigned, allowing for easier belt tension adjustments.

The new Top 3.0 also features a headlight with both low and high beam modes, significantly improving safety during nighttime rides, particularly at higher speeds. The high beam illuminates both far and wide, providing clear visibility even in challenging conditions. This feature was specifically included given the anticipated use of Delfast e-bikes in various climates and seasons.

In terms of pricing, the Top 3.0 electric bike retails for $6,649 when shipped to the United States, €6,249 to the European Union, and $6,799 elsewhere globally. For early adopters placing orders in early June, there’s an Early Bird discount of approximately $1,000 (or equivalent in Euros).

There’s more good news for potential buyers. Delfast has finally introduced global credit financing options through PayPal. This opens up financing opportunities for customers worldwide, with Klarna available exclusively in the U.S. and Affirm launching shortly. In total, Delfast now offers three distinct financing options for customers to choose from.
