Of interest … Flight For Life

<

This is a report from Asher Heimermann: --- It’s quite an interesting development to note that Flight for Life, which has been providing essential services for 35 remarkable years as of 2019, decided to shut down its Fond du Lac, Wisconsin helicopter base on January 18, 2019. This particular base had been in operation for a decade, offering crucial medical helicopter support to the community. According to a recent Facebook post by Flight for Life, they're currently downsizing their fleet of helicopters. While the McHenry, Illinois base will continue to function as usual, the Waukesha-Milwaukee base might be relocated to the West Bend, Wisconsin area. Interestingly enough, Flight for Life ventured into ground-based operations last October, launching a new ambulance service with two vehicles. They’ve already made plans to deploy a third ambulance soon, as mentioned in another Facebook update. It seems like they’re adapting to changing demands and exploring alternative ways to provide emergency healthcare services. Here are some visuals captured by Asher Heimermann to give you a better idea of what this means in practical terms: ![](Flight_for_Life_ambulance.jpg) *Caption: A glimpse at one of the new ambulances introduced by Flight for Life.* ![](Flight_for_Life_ambulance2.jpg) *Caption: Another angle showcasing their modernized ground fleet.* ![](Flight_for_Life_helicopter.jpg) *Caption: Although the Fond du Lac helicopter base is closing, this image reminds us of their impressive aerial operations.* I’m personally keeping an eye on how these changes unfold, especially since they represent a shift in strategy for a well-established organization. Stay tuned for further updates! --- (Note: Image sources are placeholders indicated by the filenames. Adjust actual image links if needed.)
