The first domestic CTA crystallizer was born in Dalian Hitachi Machinery Co., Ltd.

The first domestically developed CTA crystallizer, which took 14 months of meticulous research and development, was successfully installed in the production line of refined terephthalic acid (PTA) at Dalian Hitachi Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. This milestone marked a significant breakthrough, ending China's long-term reliance on imported CTA crystallizers and boosting the country's self-sufficiency in key chemical manufacturing equipment. As a critical component in the production of purified terephthalic acid, the CTA crystallizer plays a vital role in the manufacturing of chemical fibers and plastic products. Before this achievement, such equipment was exclusively produced by companies in Belgium, South Korea, and Japan, making it a bottleneck for domestic PTA production. The successful localization of this technology not only enhances industrial independence but also strengthens the competitiveness of China's chemical industry on the global stage. Dalian Hitachi Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., established in July 1997, has grown into a major overseas production base for Hitachi, specializing in power generation, petrochemical, and foundry equipment. With the completion of the CTA crystallizer project, the company continues to play a crucial role in advancing China’s industrial capabilities and supporting the development of high-value-added manufacturing sectors. This accomplishment reflects not only technical innovation but also the growing strength of Chinese engineering and manufacturing expertise.
