General Motors China CEO Visits Hunan Wuling Zhongnan 4S Store

General Motors China CEO Gan Wenwei recently visited Hunan to conduct an on-site inspection of the local automotive market. His first stop was the SAIC-GM-Wuling Zhongnan 4S store, where he met with Xu Xiangjie, the general manager of the facility. After touring the premises and receiving a detailed report, Gan praised the store's highly efficient management team and modern internal facilities. He highlighted the store as a leading dealership in the mini-vehicle sector and encouraged other regions to learn from its successful model. Gan also emphasized that General Motors will focus more on the micro-vehicle segment in the future, aiming to provide even better and more diverse products tailored for the Hunan market. According to recent reports, the SAIC-GM-Wuling Zhongnan 4S store has experienced consistent growth over the years. In 2004, it sold 1,500 vehicles, and by last year, that number had risen to 5,400. In 2023, the entire province of Hunan saw Wuling sell 18,000 units, with this particular store capturing half of the micro-vehicle commercial vehicle market. Even during the harsh winter ice disaster this year, which severely impacted transportation, the store managed to maintain steady sales growth in the first quarter. As the first micro-car flagship store in Hunan, the SAIC-GM-Wuling Zhongnan 4S shop was established with significant investment and is considered a benchmark in South China. It combines sales, maintenance, and parts supply into one integrated service model.
