The recalled are Jinyu YS78 and Evergreen ES89. The specification is LT225 / 75R16. The time of manufacture in Shandong Jinyu is between April 1, 2011 and August 31, 2014. The tire manufacturer has already been to the US. The Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) states.
Shandong Jinyu is not sure which factory produces the tires, but by searching the DOT code, the factory is located in Dongying, Shandong Province, China, and its DOT code is 15.
The dates covered by the tire DOT are: 1611 to 4314, the tire manufacturer said.
Shandong Jinyu said that the tires may not be able to dissipate heat properly, making them vulnerable to belt separation and failure, but did not explain why the problem existed, how it was discovered, and whether there was a reported tire failure.
NHTSA said that the specific details of the recall are still developing, and Shandong Jinyu has not yet provided a notification schedule. The recalled NHTSA campaign number is 15t009000.
