Israel RISCO Product Frequently Asked Questions (3)

Why do I need to hide ACTTM technology?
A: In the increasing number of home theft cases, the detectors involved in such incidents did not conduct any detection. When the detector is not sensitive enough in its PIR channel, or when it comes to "difficult to catch" thieves, undetectable phenomena may occur.
Not sensitive enough: When the ambient temperature is close to the body temperature, no IR signal is detected.
When it comes to "difficult to catch" thieves: "Difficult to catch" thieves use camouflage techniques such as umbrellas, large cloaks, canvas or IR block boards. All of the above can prevent intruders' IR rays from reaching the detector.
In both cases, the PIR channel is vulnerable and there is not enough signal strength to trigger the alarm signal. ACTTM technology overcomes both situations.
What is the use of ACTTM-anti-masking technology?
A: Israel's RISCO's iWISE multi-technology detectors have ACTTM anti-masking technology, which is unique to Israel's RISCO's iWISE multi-technology detectors. The ACTTM protection alarm system is not bypassed for any of the above reasons. The detector senses and identifies the presence of intruders trying to block IR rays. In this case, to ensure detection, the detector switches to single-channel microwave alert detection.
How do ACTTM identify the situation and decide to switch to MW only mode during the masking attempt?
A: The ACTTM can distinguish IR signals from moving intruders with cloaks or umbrellas or common background and/or temperature interference signals that can cause false alarms.
Mobile stealth intruders emit very weak IR signals with characteristic shapes and frequencies. ACTTM uses a unique pattern recognition algorithm in the microprocessor that ignores signal strength and focuses on the shape and frequency of the signal. When the mode of the check signal matches the intruder and there is also MW detection, ACTTM switches to the MW triggered alarm for a predetermined window time.
Such a weak IR signal is usually not analyzed and is therefore ignored in traditional dual-detection technology detectors.
Will the Israeli RISCO iWISE detector with ACTTM technology generate more false alarms due to switching to microwave-only mode?
A: No, the ability to avoid false positives will not be compromised. The analysis basis for the detector to send an alarm decision is based on digital signal processing. There is a strong correlation between the optical design and the software algorithms of the microprocessor, which can increase the sensitivity without affecting the ability to avoid false alarms. As long as it is uncertain whether to consider the signal as an alarm, the detector will start the verification process. If the verification process confirms that the signal continues to be like an intruder's signal, an alarm decision is supported. Hot air drift, such as from an electric heater or blower, or radio signal disturbances all have characteristic shapes and frequencies that can be identified and filtered out. In addition, the microwave sensitivity is reduced in the microwave-only mode.
What is the difference between Shuangjian technology detector with OR logic and Israel RISCO's iWISE detector with ACTTM technology?
A: The "or" logic means that detecting an alarm in one channel is sufficient. Just like there are two detectors, one based on microwaves and the other based on PIR, an alarm is generated immediately when any signal channel is detected. Each individual technique is not sufficiently immune to interference (this is the reason for the development of Shuangjian technology detectors).
If high temperatures or ACTTM technology detect suspicious camouflage activity, the Israeli RISCO iWISE detector with ACTTM technology goes to microwave-only detection. Compared to an OR logic detector set for a channel operating mode of 24 hours, when needed, the ACTTM only works in a channel mode of operation for a specific period of time and is only on the microwave channel.
Is Israel's RISCO iWISE detector a "digital" detector?
A: Yes, but now the numbers are not enough. By using the same algorithms (such as some ASICs) or software algorithms based on some poor microcontrollers, you can do analog detectors in digital fashion. The iWISE detector contains a powerful microprocessor with advanced digital signal processing technology. Demonstrate iWISE detector's innovative pattern recognition algorithm and outstanding performance.
