My wife gave me a special gift for Father’s Day—a tour on Engine 41. While we were on the tour, Engine 2 and Fire Boat 6-8-8 responded to a call near the bridge at Wabash. There was some debris caught in the bridge’s mechanism, which caused a minor incident. Fire Boat 6-8-8 had water on their deck from using the deck gun. The fire itself wasn’t big, but the photos I took from the river level offered a unique perspective that you don’t often get.
I captured a few shots from different angles, showing the boat in action and the scene below the bridge. It was a great experience to see how the fire department operates from the water, and I’m glad I got to share these moments with my family.
