Re-election of black tungsten ore

Tungsten has a high melting point, high density, high hardness, which is widely used for electric lighting, metallurgy, mechanical machining tool manufacturing, and military fields. China's tungsten resource reserves rank first in the world, accounting for 61% of the world's total reserves. Industrially valuable tungsten minerals are wolframite [(Fe, Mn) W04, density 7200-7500 kg/m3], scheelite (CaW04, density 5900 ~ 6200 kg/m3). The black tungsten ore is mainly recovered by re-election method, and the separation of scheelite is mainly based on flotation or floating one-fold combined process. In 2008, China's tungsten concentrate production was equivalent to W43 of 84,470 tons, of which, the output of Hunan Province was 27,590 tons (mainly white tungsten), and the output of Jiangxi Province was 39,306 tons (mainly black tungsten).

The tungsten ore resources in Jiangxi Province are mainly black tungsten ore. At present, Jiangxi Tungsten Industry Company has a total of 11 tungsten mines and associated mineral processing plant, that Dajishan, West Mountain, Pangushan, Kui Miyama, Hu pit, swing Ping, Piaotang, a small ridge, iron mountain ridge, the next ridge, Thrushing tungsten ore. The Dajishan tungsten mine was built in 1952 and is the first mechanized tungsten plant in China. In the decades of production practice, Jiangxi tungsten mine has accumulated rich experience, and the mineral processing technology is improving day by day. According to the nature of tungsten ore, the concentrating plant has adopted pre-concentration with re-election as the core, hand-selected waste, 3-stage jigging, multi-stage shaker, stage grinding, shaker tailing, fine mud centralized treatment, and more A process selection process and a mineral processing process for comprehensive mineral recovery (see Figure 1).

The re-election of black tungsten ore is mainly based on jigging operations. The broken ore is divided into three grades of coarse, medium and fine, which are separately jigging and sorting, and the tailings selected by the group and the middle jigging are re-examined. After grinding, the grading and sorting are carried out, and the tailings selected by the fine jigging are directly subjected to shaker sorting, and the shaker operation is thrown away.

The re-election section obtained a tungsten coarse concentrate containing W03 of 30% ~ 35%, and the corresponding tungsten operation recovery rate was 88% ~ 92%, up to 96%. The amount of tungsten metal in “tungsten fine mud” generally accounts for more than l4% of the ore. It is usually treated by single re-election, heavy-floating combined process, heavy-magnetic-floating combined process, and combined metallurgical process.

The selection is to process the tungsten coarse concentrate into a commercial black tungsten concentrate with a W03 content of more than 65% (quality products greater than 72%), which is often re-elected to further remove the gangue, separated by means of platform floatation, pellet floatation or foam flotation. sulfide ore with a strong magnetic separation of cassiterite and scheelite, electrostatic separation, acid leaching and other processes in addition to phosphorus, and other comprehensive recovery of valuable metals.
