The 22nd annual Lake County Fire Safety Expo took place on Saturday, May 18th at Gurnee Mills. The event was a great opportunity for residents to learn about fire safety and see the latest in firefighting technology and equipment.

Throughout the four-hour event, fire departments from across Lake County showcased their apparatus and tools. Attendees had the chance to watch live demonstrations, including a presentation by the Waukegan Fire Department Bomb Squad, the Lake County High Angle Rescue Team, and an auto extrication demo. There was also a side-by-side live fire demonstration that highlighted the skills of local firefighters.

As always, the expo provided a valuable platform for community engagement and education. It’s a reminder of the dedication and hard work of first responders who protect our communities every day.
