Recently, Bridgestone Co., Ltd. announced that it will reorganize the operating system of the tire business in China and Asia and the Oceania region as part of the “global management system” that is listed as a key project in the 2013 medium-term management plan. At present, China and Asia and Oceania are operating as different strategic business units (SBUs). In the future, we will use management resources to effectively use management resources, strengthen management systems in emerging countries, and achieve global operations to respond more quickly to rapidly changing market conditions.

The restructuring plan was implemented on July 1 this year, and the company's business responsibility for Bridgestone Asia Pacific Investment Co., Ltd. (BSAP) was extended to China, and it was reorganized into Bridgestone (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (BSCN), which governs China's tire business. And the BSAP's General Organization (BSCAP). With the goal of “real multinational corporations” and “all in the industry”, we will promote the strategic development and improve the quality and speed of business reform with the medium-term business plan as the operation center. The Bridgestone Group currently has six business units by geographical region and two business units by commodity. Through this reorganization, the regional institutions will be divided into Japan, the Americas, Europe, China, Asia, Oceania and Central and Near East Africa.
