A bolt of lightning struck a house on Rudolph Court in Spring Grove early Sunday morning during a thunderstorm. Thankfully, emergency crews were quick to respond and managed to contain the fire before it could spread further. While the situation was serious, the firefighters did an excellent job keeping the incident under control without escalating to a full-scale disaster. One challenge they faced was the lack of nearby hydrants, so tenders had to be brought in from surrounding areas to support Spring Grove's engine. It's always reassuring to see how well these teams work together when every second counts.

I managed to snap some photos from the scene that really capture the effort put forth by our local firefighters. You can see McHenry Township Fire Protection District's engine standing ready in one shot, looking strong and prepared for action. Another image shows a Fox Lake fire department tender arriving on-site, clearly demonstrating the coordinated effort between departments. There’s also a great shot of the Spring Grove fire team working alongside their tanker, showing just how vital their resources are in situations like this.
In another photo, you’ll notice a Richmond fire department ambulance nearby, ready to assist if needed. These images truly highlight the dedication and teamwork involved in firefighting efforts.
