Chlorophyll content has an important influence on photosynthetic rate, primary productivity and growth of plants, and it is also an effective measure of the extent of plant environmental stress. Chlorophyll analyzer research found that the main greening tree species in northwestern Liaoning leaf chlorophyll content between 0.73 ~ 4.61mg · g-1, less than the main tree species in eastern Liaoning chlorophyll content. This is mainly due to the drought climate in northwestern Liaoning Province. The drought stress leads to the reduction of chlorophyll content, the loss of water from the leaves affects the synthesis of chlorophyll, and promotes the accelerated decomposition of chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll content units are usually expressed in two ways. The chlorophyll meter research conducted a correlation analysis between the fresh weight per unit area and chlorophyll content per unit area and the padding value, and found that the inter-species padad value and the unit fresh weight of chlorophyll b and the total chlorophyll content are There was no significant correlation, but a significant relationship with chlorophyll per unit area.

The variation coefficient of chlorophyll content per unit area was found to be 35.2%, and the coefficient of variation of the padd value was 23.0% (Table 1). This indicates that the differences in the padding values ​​between the species can only reflect the relatively high level of chlorophyll content and cannot reflect the true chlorophyll content. The degree of difference. In addition, the correlation between the padding value and the chlorophyll a content (R=0.67) is higher than the total chlorophyll content, which may be related to the measurement wavelength (660 and 940 nm) used by the chlorophyll meter.

Chlorophyll a/b is one of the important indicators to measure the negative tolerance of plants. The padding value can reflect the difference in chlorophyll content per unit area of ​​tree species, but can not reflect the difference in unit fresh weight chlorophyll content; this may be due to the chlorophyll meter value in unit fresh weight. When calculating, the chlorophyll content of leaves with high water content will be lower than that of leaves with low moisture content, resulting in certain errors; and when calculated in terms of unit area, it will not be affected by changes in water content and thickness of leaves.
